Halya dae

Halya stands at 5'10" tall with long black hair, often tied back in a pony tail, and deep green eyes. She is a Techoren, but is a Nox'Yaraian citizen and often favors Nox'Yaraian dress.

Halya Dae was born on Yelzin, a world of the Techoren federation, to powerful members of a mob family. She was trained from an early age in the art of assassination, and was expected to have a long career working for the mob.

While she followed this path for a time, she began having her doubts. Things came to a head when she was given the job of assassinating Jenna Evades, who was one of those being considered for Executive Director of Internal Security. Knowing that even success would be a death sentence, she made the decision that these people weren’t worth dying for. With the help of her mother, she gathered what she would need and fled first the world, then Techoren space entirely. Unfortunately, her mother was captured during the escape, leaving Halya to go on alone.

Despite this, Halya eventually made her way to the giant space station that Nox'Yarai calls the Ark. Once she arrived, she realized that her situation would be even more precarious if she tried to stay under the radar, and so she turned herself in to the authorities and was promptly hauled off to Trilakin, to the city of Asylum.

It is there that the criminal element noticed her. Learning of her history, they set her up to take the fall for an assassination of a high-ranking official on Trilakin. Leila Nox'Yarai, who was in the area on a minor diplomatic mission, took notice of these events. Realizing that something didn’t make sense, she offered Halya the opportunity to prove her innocence.

Accompanied by the Archon Garon Hardrin, the two began uncovering a conspiracy involving the fallen house Juzaren. Noticing their efforts, the Sauriness mage Sserlector Tser'lukarn offered his aid. As their investigation continued, an informant offered to meet them, and the four made their way to a compound on the outskirts of Asylum. It is here that they were ambushed; their magic sealed. Garon tried to draw his weapon and was shot, as Leila, Halya, and Sserlector seemed at the mercy of their captors.

However, it was at that moment that the seals failed, as power collapsed throughout the compound. A large group of refugees descended on the compound, as Leila, Halya, and Sserlector engaged their captors. They quickly gained the upper hand, and in the end captured some of the key figured involved in the plot.

Halya would go on to complete her time on Trilakin, becoming a Nox'Yarai citizen, and eventually rejoining Leila, with whom she had formed a friendship. She would be involved in several minor campaigns with Leila, and she counts Leila as her single most valued friend.
