There are literally thousands of different types of firearms within
Federation space, some are of unique design and others are just sub variants
of each other. However it is unlikely that one will ever encounter many of
these different variants, for while it is true that Techoren strive for
constant profits, they strive for victory and the greater glory of the
Federation above all else. This translates over to the military in the form
of advanced weapons, unlike many civilizations that arm their troops with
substandard weapons due to an economic efficiency, Techoren are armed with
the latest and greatest state of the art weapons more limited by production
speed and availability of necessary resources than the limitations of the
military funds, although reluctantly money still plays some part. This
attitude has even transferred over to the civilian populace and many weapon
dealers have found there simply isn’t much of a market out there for older,
even cheaper, obsolete weapons and so naturally they themselves seldom stock
them.
I had taken this into account when I constructed the lists below and so have
only listed the latest and most popular weapons on the market. For further
ease of use I have separated the below weapons into individual categories
based on the type of firearms noted.
