Techoren society is filled with hundreds of thousands of noteworthy individuals, from planetary world governors, to major corporation CEO's, leading research and development scientists and battle field champions. Every world has its leaders and its villains, just as every Starfleet has its own heroes, myths and legends. Ultimately however most of these figures are irreverent to the greater scheme of the Federation, few individuals truly have the power and influence necessary to affect the greater whole of Techoren society. Below I have constructed a list of those people I consider either the most important or interesting within the Federation, it is by no means a complete list but covers more than was necessary. Logically I have started with the nine most powerful people to the Techoren, The Nine themselves.

Grand General Ivan Stormrider: Commander-in-Chief of the Domestic armed forces, champion warrior of the Federation, and one of the greatest success stories in all the Techoren. Every soldier knows the legend and because of it none challenge the Stormrider. Ivan was little more than a common soldier four hundreds years ago when the Sentinel Shar'vuck awoke and lead a military rebellion against the then current Nine. The war quickly escalated as various factions swore loyalty to the mythological figure that was Shar'vuck, the Nine sensing the growing danger sent out a large scale strike force into the heart of Shar'vucks territory, but alas they were betrayed. The strike force commander had secretly pledged his loyalty to the rouge Sentinel and corrupted many of his lieutenants to do likewise, the assault was nothing more than an ambush and a massacre. Yet despite the odds the Stormrider would not be stopped, he cut a swath of destruction and death through the ranks of his traitorous brothers and sisters until he stood before the feet of his advisory. There the two engaged in mortal combat, mano a mano, how it is not known but Ivan emerged victorious, last man standing. With Shar'vucks defeat the fighting came to an end and both sides swore allegiance to the Stormrider. It did not take much longer for Ivan to take his seat among The Nine. Still as dedicated a patriot as ever the Stormrider busies himself with the Federations defense and crushing the enemies of the Techoren and the Alliance, which he considers just about everything else.

Supreme Space Admiral Johnath Brigs: Supreme Admiral Johnath Brigs, Commander-in-Chief of the Space Armada was always expected to achieve greatness. Born to a family with a long history of Space Commanders it came as little surprise to anyone when Johnath was accepted into the elite space training academy Cosmoses, when he broke all of the academy’s previously set records, then people became impressed. Johnath Brigs became the youngest space Commander ever in recorded Federation history, then faded from any note worthy view for many years. It was with the Shikana Hive incursions that Johnath became truly famous, The Storm Raider and Black Claw fleets had already attempted to halt the progress of the billions of bug like creatures, but the bizarre tactics of the Hive minded aliens quickly overwhelmed the two fleets and forced them to withdraw. That’s when Johnath and his Red Talons fleet arrived on the scene, he quickly masterminded a counter offensive and convinced the two broken fleets to combine with his own, within 5 years he had not only broken the enemy but incinerated their many Hive worlds, permanently eliminating that particular threat. Johnath Brigs ascended to The Nine when former Supreme Space Admiral Tatso Shoguna was killed with the destruction of the legendry world killer, the super capital ship Kureal, in the Black Wars. Johnath independently seized control of the Space Armada with Tatso's death and pressed the war against the Dark Jurai, when the Black Wars ended the remaining 8 members of The Nine welcomed him in. Since then Johnath has busied himself with designing and engineering improved starships for the Federation and constantly monitoring the position of all Techoren fleets. Calm, soft spoken, and always in control, Johnath is a master tactician in the prime of his life.

Guild mistress Shundra Soulice: Head of the Federations mighty Empath guild, Shundra Soulice has complete dominion over the psionic potential of the Techoren race. The guild mistress is the oldest serving member of The Nine and known for her cold-hearted efficiency and protectiveness of follow Empaths. Shundra was born in the age of the Empath Wars, when the psionically aware had seized many positions of great power and had turned upon each other in mad quests for yet more power, dragging the Federation into civil war. Taken as a child Shundra was to be trained as a Templar, yet before her training could be completed the Empath Joshive Jivec, sensing her psionic potential, took her and subjected her to his own methods of training. Shundra's psionic might was harnessed and she was thought to be an obedient servant in the bloodied wars, a slayer of other Empaths, Joshive's puppet reaper. Until the day Shundra had had enough, she had grown tired of the senseless killing and seen the ultimate futility of the war. In less than two years the war came to a close, various opposition leaders either killed or forced to bow to Shundra's might, the Empath Guild was reestablished, with Shundra as its Guild mistress, and that’s simply how its been ever since. Rumor has it Shundra has reached the limit that Bio-regeneration is capable of extending a life, despite still sustaining a middle aged appearance, and has began seeking a replacement for her seat among The Nine.

Guild master Boris Von'Telsin: Supreme leader of the awesome Merchants Guild, Boris Von'Telsin is renowned for his cold calculations, indomitable patience and smoldering anger; he is a man one simply does not wish to cross. Boris was born in the Shylas sector, an area of space a vast distance from the Sphere that was at the time controlled by a powerful multi global Mob cartel. Having survived a violent childhood Boris spent his early years as a hit man for the Descan family. Finally as several world leaders united together to take down the Descan family Boris was sent to eliminate them, the job however was a setup, Boris was going to be used as a scapegoat, the wanted killer being handed over to get the leaders to back off. But something went wrong, Boris was too good, he actually managed to kill several of the leaders before realizing the trap, evading arrest and making off with a vast some of the Descan families money before finally disappearing underground. Boris Von'Telsin vanished for over 20 years, in secret he had invested large sums of money into various corporations in the Shylas sector until he finally controlled most of the market, then used the vast sums of money those corporations brought to buy off world presidents. When Boris Von'Telsin reappeared it was violent and bloody, the Descan family had been engaged in a long standing feud with several of Boris's corporations, suddenly a massive government crack down occurred, due to Telsin's manipulations of World Presidents, at about the same time all Corporations stopped there dealings with the Descan family, the Mob cartel was arrested and bankrupted in the same blow. In the aftermath Boris expanded his merchant network, eventually joining with and ultimately assuming control of the mighty Merchants Guild. In recognition of his successful coup the former Guild master stepped down from The Nine allowing Boris Von'Telsin to take his place.

Resource Administer Amy Wethers: Though born to a poor family on a remote colony world, Amy Wethers was a born genius. As a mentat, a human computer, Amy soon found herself intellectually far above her closest peers and had completed advanced tertiary study by the mere age of 15. She spent her next 5 years working as a financial consultant for the many corporations on her home world and was beginning to make quiet a reputation for herself. It was about at this time that the Orcish Blood Skull fleet attacked the worlds of Amy's home sector Zigmra. The Blood Skull fleet struck with a savage cunning and tactical brutality that caught the defenders off guard. They napalmed whole fields and farms, bombed granaries and ambushed supply and merchant vessels before demanding immediate surrender of the entire sector. The situation was dire, reinforcements were several months away and there simply wasn’t enough food to last the worlds of the Zigmra sector that long. That’s where Amy stepped in, formulating a daring and very risky plan, she calculated the remaining food reserves of each world comparing it to its population of workers, soldiers and children, then arranged for covert transports of supplies between the various worlds. After 1 month the Orcs had become agitated, as per Amy’s plan, rumors had leaked to them that the Techoren had a secret food reserve and were not in fact in danger of running out, in anger the Orcs broke their defensive position and launched an all out assault against the perceived location of this hidden reserve. At last the defenders could take the fight to them as a bloody battle erupted, one that came to a surprising conclusion when the Orc war chief was slain in close combat by the meek Amy Wethers. When reinforcements finally arrived they were shocked at the abrupt turn of events and soon afterwards Amy was inducted into the High Government.

Chief Developer Professor Zien Uter: Energetic and chirper, Zien is always out to make a new discovery, both for the better of the Federation and knowledge for knowledge’s sake. Born to a wealthy family Zien was put through the finest schools, however he failed miserably due to his unorthodox viewpoints and constant arguing with his tutors. It was with great difficulty that he managed to land himself a job as a maintenance engineer aboard the half derelict old Battle station, Star Wrath. Immediately noticing the lack in security, insufficient crew and the run down nature of the old station Zien went to work, he quarantined off several areas, declaring them unsafe till further notice and then began his development. At first he stole parts from other places on the station, then he began to pillage docked military vessels and supply craft, amazingly this continued for over 15 years with the only effect being many considering the station haunted. Ultimately everything changed when the Raven Shadows Starfleet went rouge, declaring themselves space pirates and rapidly began pillaging all the surrounding worlds. First they crushed the smaller Storm Crow fleet that attempted to intercept them, then they moved through several worlds, The Star Wrath, a run down old battle station was suppose to be an easy target for fresh supplies. To their surprise when they arrived they found a fully armed and operational bastion of war possessing a shielding system superior to their own. Further more Zien had developed a crude neural network control system, allowing him to operate most of the stations defenses on his own. The Raven Shadows meet their final doom upon the most beloved of Zien's creations, though crude by today’s standards, the prototype version of the epic super weapon, the wave motion cannon, was more than capable of eradicating the traitorous Starfleet. When the High Government heard of what happened Zien was quickly offered a vastly more respectable job and a near unlimited budget.

Internal Security, Executive Director Jenna Evades: Just exactly who or what Jenna Evades actually happens to be is not entirely known. There is no recorded documentation of her existence prier to her accession among The Nine, in fact neither I, nor any other watcher had seen or heard of her prier to her rise. Soft spoken and exceedingly confident, Jenna appears capable of reading others emotions. It is even rumored that she can instantly tell when another is lying to her. While it is not known where Jenna Evades came form, many widely believe she was taken as a baby by The Nine, some extremist believe she was even genetically created. Either case she first appeared 100 years ago when the rouge scientist Zander Scragskel had created an organization of robotic synthoids programmed with artificial intelligence. The Techoren appearing machines infiltrated society and began to establish themselves in positions of power, seizing control of worlds and gaining a foothold in the High Government. As war began to wage across the worlds and space Jenna Evades was finally let loose, she covertly infiltrated Zander's organization, appearing as nothing more than another Synthoid, eventually identifying and locating all of Zanders robotical agents. Finally she personally executed Zander and his robotical elite for the crimes of treason against the Federation and creation of illegal robotics. Since then Jenna has busied herself with the internal security of the Federation, setting up vast information networks and vigorously hunting down all traitors and rouges of the great Techoren society.

Extra Techoren, Executive Director Blain Lightclaw: Blain is a handsome, soft spoken, polite, killing machine. As the head of the MIB Ex division Blain has studied the fighting styles and behaviors of other races and empires, as such he is both a gentlemen diplomat and a ruthless assassin. Blain spent his early days as nothing more than a junior ranking Agent commonly cited for lack of discipline and misconduct. This all changed however when Blain was deployed with 4 other Agents to a shikana infested world to take out an Overlord Seer, the mission was a disaster right from the beginning, the shuttle was attacked before plant fall and crashed badly killing the other 4 Agents and injuring Blain, worse still a shikana invasion swept out from that world and several others destroying the Starfleet that had deployed them and forcing Techoren forces to retreat from the system, Blain was stranded, alone and injured in uncharted territory surrounded by millions of blood thirsty Shikana. Somehow against all odds Blain survived over 2 months on that accursed world, studying his enemy, watching their habits and learning there weakness’, finally on the beginning of the third month with his wounds mostly healed he armed himself up and attacked, he not only took out the Overlord Seer, who apparently failed to see him coming this time, but the Hive mind Shivus herself, the blow sent the Shikana swarm into chaos and allowed the battered Techoren Starfleet’s to launch a counter offensive. Upon retrieval Blain was swiftly promoted.

Political Administer Carlous Shownvic: Politics is as important to the Techoren as it is to any other race, perhaps even more so. So it is with great importance that Carlous is appointed to the position to make sure all events flow over as smooth as possible. Carlous both oversees all foreign affairs developments and acts the role as the spokesmen for The Nine, making sure the Federation is both properly informed of any new rules, regulations or development in the war fronts. Exceedingly cunning Carlous Shownvic is a master programmer, scholar of ancient Techoren history and learned professional of the cultures and languages of other races, and is known for his inventions such as the Techoren universal translator, which is not so universal by our standards. Carlous's great skills of persuasion first came to the notice of The Nine when he was 45 leading an expedition on the ruined world of Shadlin 7. There the party of explorers came face to face with the dreaded Starfire, Carlous not only managed to secure his parties safe withdraw but lived with her for over a month discussing issues of ancient history allowing him to dig up vaults of their forgotten knowledge.

Additionally I have included below several more individuals. While they themselves do not hold the ultimate positions of power that the above Nine do, they are exceptionally powerful or influential in their own right and I felt it inappropriate to exclude them.

Ambassador Samuel Lindinheart: While Carlous Shownvic is in charge of Foreign Affairs it is Samuel Lindinheart that people will evenly come face to face with. The first thing one must understand about Samuel is that their is not one but many Samuels. Over the eons the various members of The Nine became increasingly frustrated at the intimidation tactics leveled against their Ambassadors, many of the allied races of the Alliance possess strong supernatural powers that most Techoren are lacking and while their diplomats are savvy of tongue many were humbled before the awesome array of powers frequently on display. This could not be tolerated. So Samuel was effectively engineered, he knows no fear and feels no pain, his body can sustain great physical trauma and if he is eventually killed there are many more clones of him about the Federation. Samuel speaks the words of The Nine and no one else; in all situations he is looking out for the interests of the Federation and wields "nearly" unrestricted power.

Empath Desaal Lightingale: At the mere age of 26 many consider Desaal the strongest empath alive in all the Federation, second only to Shundra herself, and some even say she has surpassed her. In a race where power is rare and great power rarer still hers is without question. While possessing some lesser powers Desaal's prime ability is to see the near and distant futures and pasts, something she has done to great effect. It is even rumored that Shundra has chosen Desaal to eventually take her place among The Nine, while I am unable to confirm this the two have met on many separate occasions. It has also not slipped my eye that her name bears great resemblance to that of our ancient enemy, considering that and her vast psionic potential I believe it merits further investigation.

Foren Truo: The owner and founder of the multi global corporation known as Techoren Industries 3,000. He is considered by all the most financial and dangerous man not affiliated to any individual organization in all the Federation. It is publicly known that he has many personal contacts with powerful Mob cartels, and yet his company is also the sole provider of plasteel weapons for the MIB Agency, further more many of his companies sub corporations are involved in top secret development projects with the High Government. All this was achieved while continuously refusing to join the formerly dominating Merchants Guild, several attempts were made to convince Foren otherwise but they always ended the same, with the death of the assassins and the collapse of the corporation that sent them, in many cases literally speaking. So great is Foren's influence and respect that he was offered the position of Guild Master among The Nine before Boris Von'Telsin's accession, and much to everyone’s surprise Foren turned it down, he simply wasn’t interested.

Senior Agent Kila: Classified, as reckless, temperamental and dangerous Kila has now grown too great to be controlled. She has survived more high danger missions than any other Agent to date, and has come face to face with untold legions of nightmares. Mages, Demons, Wraiths, Ghosts, Psion’s and genetic mutations, Kila has beaten them all, and all without a power to call her own. Her countless campaigns and suicidal missions have caught the eye of the public, with each new success her image grows and she is swiftly becoming an idolized icon of the people. A true patriot of the Federation, she is unbribable, incorruptible and currently, unstoppable.
