The Jurai and Dark Jurai evolved side by side. The Dark Jurai were at this time a barbaric civilization who raided the Jurai often. It was in this setting that an individual of extraordinary power, the likes of which had never been seen before, rose up among the Jurai. He taught other Juraians how to master their own gifts, invented discipoline and true training, and created the first real cities. He befriended the star trees and united the Juraian worlds. He pushed back the Dark Jurai barbarians and gave birth to a civilization. He was the first Emperor of Jurai, wielding a power which was never seen before or since.

Back then they had no life water, and so eventually old age caught up to him and with a smile the great Emperor died. WIth each generation the empire continued to grow, but they were plagued by constant attacks by the Dark Jurai, and several failed attempts to conquer the more wild parts of the worlds would be recorded in future emperors' books.

It was around the time of the fifth emperor that life water was discovered. Unfortunately, at this time things began to go badly for the Jurai, as an individual of ungodly power arose among the Dark Jurai. He was quickly heralded as the Dark Emperor and he began uniting the tribes. The Jurai attempted to destroy him, but his victories against their attacks only fueled other Dark Juraians to join him, and soon a crusade against the Jurai began. Cities were conquered, worlds fell, millions died. The Dark Emperor even gained a foothold on Jurai.

Still, the war had dragged on for a long time, and both sides were weary. Many Dark Juraians wished peace so they could enjoy the fruits of their newly civilized society. Both sides, with caution and mistrust, called a ceasefire. The Jurai hated that the Dark Jurai still held their cities, their worlds, and that they had butchered so many innocent, but it was better than constant unending warfare.

Peace reigned for a while, skirmishes happened but nothing grand. The Dark Jurai became more civilized but not cultured, they still retained their barbarian beliefs and style of war. One day for no apparent reason the Dark Emperor and a small squad of his elite followers launched a direct attack on the Jurai royal palace with the aim of eliminating the entire royal bloodline of Jurai. The attack was brutal, the Emperor of Jurai was killed, and most of the palace destroyed. Surviving guards would tell that almost all the devastation came from the Dark Emperor himself. In the end though, the Dark Emperor died, and one single Juraian royal survived, the current reigning Emperor of Jurai.

The result of the attack was a swift and violent Juraian counter offensive, and much of Dark Jurai was caught unprepared. The Dark Jurai were confused by the sudden attack and the disappearance of their emperor, and blamed the Jurai. One of the worst wars ever erupted. This was a war of hate like no other, neither side asking of giving quarter. It continued for thousands of years, draining resources, taxing lands, and nearly destroying both empires. But the Dark Jurai were losing. Eventually, with their last bastions under siege, the Dark Jurai had to flee or face annihilation. And so they retreated into the void.
